For 26 years, Near North Health Service Corporation (Near North) has made a special effort to help improve the health of adult men living in the Chicagoland area by annually celebrating Men’s Health Week.

Due to COVID-19, this year the event will be held virtually from June 15-19, 2020. In past years, more than 1,000 men have participated in free health screening and testing for diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, blood pressure, colon cancer and HIV during Men’s Health Week. This year during Men’s Health Week, men will have the opportunity to receive free health screening and testing for all of the above ailments as well as COVID-19 at Winfield Moody and Komed Holman Health Centers in accordance with the current recommendations for social distancing made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).

 

Men will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops held on Facebook or Instagram Live, or access video resources on the Near North website prepared by Near North’s Providers and Community Partners.
